We don’t just inspect. We correct.
At FDIR, we understand building owner’s most important priority – keeping occupants safe. We know this job is demanding, laborious and extremely important. That’s something FDIR keeps in mind with a simplified, organized turn-key process. Whether your fire doors are in in need of minor repairs, parts, re-labeling or complete replacement, FDIR has you covered.
Certified by AAADM, DHI as CFDAI (Certified Fire Door Assembly Inspector) and Intertek as an IQP (Intertek Qualified Personnel), our inspectors are able to ensure your building’s fire doors meet the current standards of NFPA.

INSPECTION SERVICES
Annual Fire Door Inspections conducted by subject experts are now a mandatory requirement per recent rulings of the Joint Commission and CMS per NFPA 80: Standard for Fire Doors and Other Protectives. In addition, a complete list of fire openings, test and inspection reports and maintenance records are also required.
Our technicians have over ten years of experience in the commercial door industry. Each inspector is certified and qualified to provide AAADM inspections on automatic doors as well as Fire and Smoke Assembly Inspections. We have proudly partnered with Door Data to provide quality, detailed and easy to read reports for your inspections. Using a cloud-based reporting tool with barcode and/or ID tracking system, searching and accessing each fire door asset and it’s inspection, maintenance and compliance status just got a lot easier.
REPAIRS – PARTS – REPLACEMENT
If our Certified Inspectors find compliance issues during inspection, they are experienced and knowledgeable to provide you with quick, cost-effective solutions. Once deficiencies have been repaired, it will be re-inspected, notated on your Life Safety Plan, and compliance documentation for AHJ will be provided.
In the rare event your Fire Door assembly needs complete replacement, you’ll work directly with FDIR Inspectors who can provide a streamlined installation process to ensure compliance according to your configuration.
CERTIFICATION & RELABELING
Fire Door & Frame Labels must be clearly visible for the AHJ, CMS or AHCA. In the event a label is damaged or not properly rated, it will need to be replaced in order to meet compliance. FDIR Inspectors are third-party qualified to perform fire and egress door inspection through Intertek Qualified Person (IQP) program and will facilitate the process of relabeling to ensure your doors are compliant and properly labeled.
